Important Layer

Top  Previous  Next

In 2005, the Layer structure of SYSCAD was standardized and internationalized. These Layers are to be found in our SYSCAD.DWT template in the SYSCAD directory.

The layers in the template drawing are devided into three groups:

Layers of the system block elements (profiles, gaskets, etc.) The profile blocks of the system suppliers offer a consistent layer structure and denomination. Thus, switching between the different profile systems is eased. If you want to change the representation of the system blocks, you should change the settings for the group 1 layers in your prototype.

Layers for the drawing elements (Insulation, membranes, sheets, etc.) The layer names can be defined in the SYSCAD VARIABLE according to your liking. These layers must be defined in your prototype drawing as well. In our prototype the group 2 layers are defined as shown below.

Layer fors the elements of the "generating section" (frame profiles and T/M profiles in the elevation, etc.) Those layer names cannot be changed. In case the layer does not exist in your template, SYSCAD automatically inserts the necessary layer with the color white. Group 3 layers should not be used for personal drawing elements. However, you may change settings like color / printability etc. according to your liking.

As from version 2000.09SR1 you will find the altered prototype SYSCAD.DWT for your accustomed colouring in your SYSCAD directory. Please copy the prototype SYSCAD.DWG into your own prototype or rename the SYSCAD.DWT in YOURNAME.DWT . Adjust your prototype drawing according to your wishes by opening the prototype via OPENING and changing the settings with the AutoCAD/BricsCAD LAYER command.
