Proxy elements

For some elements SYSCAD uses the AutoCAD ARX technology to create particular objects.

These are membranes, sheet metals, insulation, denomination and the profiles of an elevation. The advantage of these particular objects is the possibility to easily alter it. Example: Membranes can be stretched and the denomination adapts automatically.

The use of these elements without SYSCAD is restricted. The elements are displayed and printed. As a prerequisite the originator of the drawing needs to set the AutoCAD/BricsCAD variable proxygraphics to 1. For users working without SYSCAD the AutoCAD/BricsCAD variable proxyshow needs to be set to 1.

To compile the intelligent elements the command KGL_URSPRUNG is available. The command is to be found in the toolbox of the respective intelligent command, e.g. the last tool in the toolbox SYSFLY-change bbjects:

If there is a need to process intelligent elements at workplaces without AutoCAD, our Homepage provides a free download of an "object enabler". This tool allows for alteration (origin, delete, move, stretch) of these elements.

The command KGL_KONVPOLY2ARX  converts the exploded objects back into regular SYSCAD-Objects. It works for the type Membrane, Insulation, Block and Sheet. Denominations should be reattached. Profiles in SYSCAD- elevations could also be reworked. Only the fillings in the elevations should be inserted again.
