SYSCAD Variable

The configuration of SYSCAD® is carried out within AutoCAD/BricsCAD by means of dialog boxes. All adaptations are done simply and fast via entry masks. These attitudes and settings are active without closing AutoCAD/BricsCAD .

•Language version: Important for foreign language versions of SYSCAD

• Currency version: for country-specific price lists of suppliers

• CFG path: Here you can define the path to the SYSCAD configuration file.

• Filling path: Common path for fills. This path can refer to your network.

• Template path: Common path for drawing templates (title blocks, height blocks, glass compound etc.). This path can point to your network.

• HELP path: If you have not installed the SYSCAD help file for any reason, you can alternatively use the online help at www.syscad.org.

• Standard parts path: Here you set the path to the CAD library in the network for shared access to the standard parts.

• Standard part temp path: A local directory must be specified for the standard part blocks to be generated.

• SYSCAD data path: Here you set the path to your SYSCAD data directory. The data can also be located in the network. If a user has write access to the databases (e.g. when creating a special profile), other users are blocked.

1. install SYSCAD and the required master data locally. SYSCAD has now been activated.

2. copy the CAD-LIBRARY directory under C:\Program Files(X86)\SYSCAD to the network. (in the example S:\CAD-BIBLIOTHEK)

3. copy the SYSCAD-DATEN directory under C:\SYSCAD-DATEN to the network. (in the example S:\SYSCAD-DATEN)

4. start SYSCAD and change the SYSCAD variables for the paths to the CAD LIBRARY / SYSCAD DATA to the new paths.

- The update only needs to be installed once. This can only be carried out if no other user has access to the directories.
